Michigan Cleft Network belives that their associates have a responsiblity to demonstrate
the highest standards of professional and personal conduct, and to foster the same in
both volunteers and staff, in order to protect the integrity of the network and to maintain
respect for the profession of organization management.
Michigan Cleft Network, its executives, members, and volunteers shall adhere to the following Code of Ethics:

Be loyal to the network and manage responsiblities in a concise manner that fosters the network's mission.

Exercise good judgment in the promotion of our services at events where such actions are permitted, and refrain from these actions where prohibited.

Promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest or any transactions, which have the appearance of unethical behavior.

Be respectful of others in a fair and consistent manner, show concern for their well-being, encourage diversity, and
refrain from discriminatory, harassing, or insensitive behavior.

Keep confidential all privileged and sensitive information that is gained by virtue of office or association, and adhere
to uniform HIPPA Law.

Work diligently to make our programs and services available to everyone who can benefit, refraining from discrimination
or bias regardless of race, color, religious beliefs, gender, national origin, age, marital or family status, disability, sexual orientation, political beliefs or veteran status.

Provide sound and timely financial management in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Evaluate programs and projects on an on-going basis to ensure continuous improvement.

Keep fundraising and administrative expenses to their lowest possible cost and ensure our practices are consistent
with our objectives.

Conduct all charitable, donation, and fundraising transactions for the benefit of the network, its programs, and the
public it serves, without prejudice or thought of personal gain.

Aspire trust in every network transaction, to reflect a foundation of responsible stewardship.
